Summertime Chillout Drink

Time to relax!

This is a different take on chamomile tea. Chamomile has soothing, calming and relaxing properties. It helps digestion, coughs, colds, skin, and has been used as a liver tonic, as well as being a good antioxidant (it’s a free radical scavenger). The constituents in chamomile offer anti-inflammatory properties.

Ingredients:

¼ organic apple, sliced thinly

8-10 oz spring water

4 oz pomegranate juice

1 ½ tsp Noniland Honey

¼ tsp Chamomile extract

 

Directions:

Heat the water with apple slices in a saucepan until simmering. Before the water comes to a boil, turn off the heat and allow to cool slightly. You can use a wooden spoon to mash the apple a little and infuse the water with apple flavor.

Strain the water into a blender and add the remaining ingredients. Blend together and serve either warm or chilled. Very refreshing!

Note: Chamomile may cause allergic reactions in people sensitive to wheat or daisies, so test it first!
